We approach it as part of the wider design, carefully planning drainage, water supply, ventilation, and pipework routes so the en-suite functions properly and feels fully integrated into the new space.
In most cases, around 2.2 metres of existing head height is a useful starting point for a loft conversion, measured from the top of the ceiling joists to the underside of the ridge. That said, 2.4 metres or more is often preferable, as it allows for the new floor structure and finishes while still leaving more comfortable headroom.
